Morning northbound commuter flows from Boulder City mix with weekend recreational traffic returning from Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. The northbound direction captures a specific driver population: those returning from outdoor recreation, sometimes tired, sometimes with alcohol from waterfront activities earlier in the day.

I-11 North and South show nearly identical crash profiles, consistent with a balanced divided freeway where directional traffic volumes are roughly equal. The single fatality occurred in 2024. Hit-and-run count of 308 (21%) reflects the freeway environment’s ease of escape.
