I-15 North & Charleston Blvd

The Charleston Boulevard interchange on I-15 is a major gateway between the central city and western neighborhoods — Summerlin, the Lakes, Spring Valley. The ramp geometry handles significant commuter volumes during both peak directions. Infrastructure changes appear to be taking hold here; the crash history has been the subject of ongoing NDOT attention and the improvement in crash counts from 2022 to 2023-2024 suggests those changes are having effect.

Crashes dropped significantly from 63 in 2022 to 32-34 in 2023-2024, roughly a 50% reduction. One fatality occurred in 2023. The downward crash trend represents genuine improvement. Hit-and-run rate at 20% reflects the freeway ramp environment where accelerating away from a scene is straightforward. This is one of the I-15 corridor’s better improvement stories.
