Corridor Overview

The southern arc of the CC-215 Beltway connects the southwest valley — Summerlin, Spring Valley, the airport area — to I-15 and beyond to Henderson. For residents in these communities, the 215 is the alternative to I-15: faster for cross-valley trips, less congested during non-peak hours, and the primary route between the western suburbs and the airport. The southern section passes through a mix of industrial, commercial, and residential-adjacent environments, with major arterial interchanges as the primary crash concentration points.

What the Data Says

Notable Statistics & Trends

The 215 South shows one of the clearest improvement trajectories in the dataset: crashes fell from 437 in 2023 to 319 in 2024 — a 27% single-year drop. Zero pedestrian crashes across all three years reflects the freeway character of the corridor. Two fatalities over three years is low relative to crash volume, consistent with modern freeway design. The improvement in 2024 almost certainly reflects physical changes to the corridor from the NDOT Beltway improvement program active in the southwest valley.
